Coach Of the Year for Season VI goes to...

Coach RuntheRock has been on the cusp of greatness for the last few seasons but always came up just short in the playoffs. He's been mocked on the messageboards and has been called a "chokeartist." Rock never let that affect him and he came up big in Season VI by first, beating his nemesis, Rashad. Then, he then took on and beat a great Colts team in MPL Bowl VI to give him his first MPL title. Congrats on a great season Rock!

The Best Team Award for Season VI goes to...

The Cowboys went 10-2 during the regular season but that included a sim loss. Rock made his mark come playoff time and silenced his critics with a brilliant run against the best competition in the MPL. Rock's Cowboys snagged the title against Randy's Colts with a close 27-20 victory and lived up to his self proclaimed title of "The Future of the MPL."

The Best Offense Award for Season VI goes to...

Rock walks away with another Season VI award, this time for best offense. Although he played solid defense throughout the season, it was the offense that carried this team. Led by Bledsoe, Jones, Witten and TO, Rock was able to score at all against anyone. He left one of the best defensive players in the MPL asking what it was that he was doing because Rock came up with plays that left his players wide open. Great job Rock!

The Best Defense Award for Season VI goes to...

Although Rashad didnt come away with another MPL title, his defense was what Madden nightmares of made of. With elaborate schemes and supreme stick in the secondary, Rashad could match up and manhandle just about any offense imaginable. Rashad walks away after this season but he made sure that he left an unforgettable impression in the minds of all MPLers with that fearsome Carolina defense.

The Most Improved Award for Season VI goes to...

Blu Pun has been one of the classiest and most dedicated owners in the MPL for seasons but has run into some bad luck with bad teams in the last couple of seasons. He came into Season VI with a career record below .500 but thanks to a great snag with the Patriots at pick 24, he steamrolled through the regular season with a 10-2 record. Pun came up short in the playoffs thanks to a HailMary pass at the end of the game against the Colts. Awesome job this season Henry!!

The Best Trash Talker Award for Season VI goes to...

Can we rename this award already? None other than Rashad again walks away with this award, but perhaps for the last time. Though he's leaving the MPL, he continued his tongue lashing on the boards. If you had a smart comment or a snipe towards Rashad, he was sure to come back with some unforgettable quotes. No one takes out the trash verbally quite like Rashad.

The Most Surprising Award for Season VI goes to...

No one saw this one coming. Pun has toiled with bad teams for the last 3 seasons and ended up with the 24th pick in this past season's draft. Although he ended up with a very good Patriots teams, they lasted that long because no one really figured they were "Madden" good. Pun utilized the skills and schemes of the Patriots to his advantage and came out on top of the Pacific East division title with a 10-2 mark. Way to go Pun!

The Most Dedicated Award for Season VI goes to...

There is no better league on the net for PS2 Madden. The reason behind that starts at the top with the Prez himself. Paul has spent countless hours working on making the MPL the best league out there. He is very busy in real life yet devotes any free time he has to work on league matters. His leadership and devotion are just two of the many qualities that the Prez posesses so it's only fitting that he receives the Most Dedicated award for Season VI. Thank you for everything that you do Paul!

The Most Classy Award for Season VI goes to...

Classy is defined as "of high class, rank, or grade; stylish; admirably smart; elegant." I dont know about the elegant part but "Big Boss" Travis certainly exemplifies the other traits more than anyone in the MPL. He conducts himself in the highest manner both on and off the Madden field. His dedication to the MPL rivals that of the Prez as he has had to juggle a new baby along with updating the MPL website and playing his games. Thanks for all that you do Travis...keep up the great work!

The Most Exciting Team Award for Season VI goes to...

Moneyball brings an offensive flavor not exhibited by any other MPLer. He knows the ins and outs of football as well as Madden. He can matchup and exploit any defense you bring at him and does it with flare. Moneyball didnt let the loss of McNabb thwart him as he used Jeff Garcia to lead the Eagles to an 11-1 record in MPL's toughest conference. He's definately someone to watch out for next season as he looks to earn his first MPL title.

The Most Old School Award for Season VI goes to...

Randy is one of the MPL vets and displayed an AFL style offense with the Colts. He took a "cursed" team and turned it into an 11-1 club who came a touchdown short of an MPL Bowl title. Randy keeps it real on the boards and in his gameplay. Congrats on being "Old School" Randy!

Most Creative Poster Award for Season VI goes to...

Who said just because you dont have a team in the current MPL season that you're not a contributing member of the league? Longhornguy was on the boards as much as anyone and always had a quality contribution to make. If it was your birthday, you were sure to get a nice little "package" in your birthday thread thanks to John. Besides Tate, Longhorn would always be sure to post a great joke that was sure to make you laugh. Thanks for sticking around on the boards John...it's commitment to the MPL like yours that makes our community so strong!

Best Newcomer for Season VI goes to...

Scottzdynasty inherited a winless Redskins team and won 5 games in the tough Atlantic Conference. He really worked to improve his game as he picked the brains of some of the MPL elite. Scott didnt just bring game on the Madden field, he was an active poster on the messageboards and even tried his hand at a little smack. Thanks for joining the MPL Scott...hope to see you when the MPL goes Next Gen.

The Biggest Disappointment Award for Season VI goes to...

It's not often that a 7-5 team gets this award but when that team is run by the defending MPL Bowl champ, it's considered a disappointment. With one of the toughest schedules and one of the weakest teams in Madden, Ducati struggled at times and resulted in his missing the playoffs. He made a great run at the end of the season as he won the NIT easily and proved that he'll be a force once again next season.

"The 1976 Bucs" Award for Season VI goes to...

Houtz began his MPL career taking the league by storm. He was racking up the wins as well as the posts on the messageboards. But after getting his beloved Dolphins last season, he's been all but a no show. Houtz finished Season VI without a victory and made New Orleans truly the 'Aints.

The Best Post Game Recaps Award for Season VI goes to...

One of the most active and skilled owners in the MPL is Wade. He not only wins a ton of games but makes some of the best posts in the entire league. A skill that he really showcases is his Post Game Recaps. He brings style into his recaps and really captures the readers' interest like no one else in the league. Wade was even kind enough to give lessons to some MPLers on how to throw color into posts and even wrote up a post for another owner. Thanks for your dedication and style on the boards Wade!

The Most Talkative Award for Season VI goes to...

Yo...I thought that Moneyball and Mathers had a lot to say...but Plummerhater takes the cake! Dude has almost 2500 posts in about 9 months of being an MPL member and holds the record for most posts in one day. If you posted anything, Plummer was sure to give his opinion on it...and most likely, it was the opposite opinion of yours. His posts with Moneyball took over so many threads that they had to make their own separate thread just for their debates and rants. But that didnt stop him for taking over other threads but hey, that's a part of what makes the MPL community so great. Keep that post count up bro...great job!

The Best Sig Award for Season VI goes to...

Although there may be more talented people when it comes to making sigs, no one brings an MPL flavor to them quite like Mathers. He is responsible for some of the best sigs seen on the boards this season, such as Boss's Favre sig, Rashad's championship sigs and his own Lions sig. Mathers has also been kind enough to make sigs for many other MPL owners and will continue to do so for seasons to come.

The Best Sig Maker Award for Season VI goes to...

The Game of the Year for MPL VI....

The Game of the Year in MPL's sixth season pitted the gritty New England Patriots led by Blu Pun against the high powered Indianapolis Colts led by Randy. The Pats started hot and jumped out to a commanding 17-7 lead. Randy battled back and with that oustanding offense he closed to within 3. Just before the half, Pun managed to bust a long 64 yard TD run to go back up by 10 points at the half. The game remained close through the 3rd quarter and Pun managed to take a 31-24 lead into the 4th quarter. Randy then tied the game with less than 3 minutes remaining. The Colts manage to get the ball back and drive to midfield but Pun comes up with a huge interception. Brady then gets knocked out of the game and in comes unheralded Matt Cassell. He completes a miraculous 25 yard pass and with 5 ticks left in the game, the Pats rookie kicker comes in for a game winning 45 yarder...but MISSES IT! 2 seconds remained so the Colts just figured to heave one downfield and head into overtime. Manning dropped back and throw a bomb downfield...which was CAUGHT at the 10 yard line by Reggie Wayne who then makes his way into the endzone for the game winning TD!!!! Colts win in a game for the ages...38-31. Randy's Colts went on to appear in the MPL Bowl and came up just short against Rock's Cowboys.
