Coach Of the Year for Season X goes to...

The coach that was the last to lose a game in Season 10 comes away with the Coach of the Year honor. obmij was able to take a team that was rated in the 60s and lead them to a 10 win season. They were on a cold streak down the stretch though and lost to a very good Ravens team in the divisional round of the playoffs. Obmij has come a long way since his first season in the MPL when he went 1-11 with the Falcons. He did what it took in season X to be voted as the "Coach of the Year."
| The Best Team Award for Season X goes to... |

The best team for season X was the winner of the MPL Bowl. The Chicago Bears, led by Luck, did a great job of dominating teams with their defense. The offense came up with the big plays when they were needed and the team rolled to 10 wins in the regular season. The playoffs saw some nailbiters in conference play but once they got to the MPL Bowl, there was no stopping those Bears. Chicago really proved to everyone that they were Season X's "Best Team."
| The Best Offense Award for Season X goes to... |

This is the second straight season that the Cowboys have been named MPL's best offense...only this time it's with a different coach. Superpunk did a great job of utilizing the talent on the Cowboy's offense. Tony Romo was smooth behind center as he could easily hand it off to one of two steady backs or he could roll out to hit tightend Jason Witten or sling it to T.O. While they weren't the league's highest scoring offense, they were the league's most potent. There is no other team that is more deserving of the title of Season X's "Best Offense."
| The Best Defense Award for Season X goes to... |

Another of MPL's spectacular rookies wins a major award, this time for best defense. The Cardinals may not have had the best personnel of any team in the league, but under Trusion's control, Arizona was a team to be feared. Trusion manually used the safety and was basically able to shut down one side of the field because of his user skills. He gave up the fewest points per game in the league and routinely held his opponents to single digits scoring. The hard work and tenacity of both the Cardinals earned them the title of Season X's "Best
Defense."
| The Most Improved Award for Season X goes to... |

There were a few other teams that could stake claim to this award but Dontcheeze's late season run and upset of the Texans in the playoffs earned him this award. Dontcheeze had 0 wins last season with the Falcons but something clicked for him this season as he was able to come up with 9 wins in the regular season and made it to his first MPL playoffs. Dontcheeze certainly worked hard to become Season X's "Most Improved."
| The Best Trash Talker Award for Season X goes to... |

In a bit of a surprise, it's Superpunk and not Houtz who wins this season's best trash talker award.SP used both graphics and words to quicly refute just about anything anyone had to say. While he didnt directly call anyone names, he used his quick wit to verbally combat and take down any and all comers. Superpunk certainly made people take notice of him and became Season X's "Best Trash Talker."
| The Most Surprising Award for Season X goes to... |

Obmij wasnt picked by many to win his division, let along wind up with 10 wins with a lowly Texans team. While he wasnt blowing anyone away, he managed to rack up the wins over the course of the season. With a career record of under .500, no one thought he could be a contender with such a bad team. But when it was all said and done, Jim wound up with the #2 seed in the Atlantic and a first round bye. Those Texans certainly were Season X's "Most Surprising."
| The Most Dedicated Award for Season X goes to... |

Season 10 was one of the most succesful and enjoyable in quite some time. The time and effort put into rebuilding the league after the transition to the PS3 format was well worth it. There are very few that work as hard as Jim to make the MPL the best that it can be. For all of his hard work and time, Jim gets Season X's "Most Dedicated" award.
| The Most Classy Award for Season X goes to... |

A Raider team being called classy? WTF!?!? Well that's exactly the case here as Remo has been nothing but a class act since joining the MPL. His positive attitude and joy to be a part of the league puts a smile on everyone's face. When many others might have thrown in the towel, Remo played hard and played straight despite his record and disdain for his team. Remo is the shining example of what class is all about.
| The Most Exciting Team Award for Season X goes to... |

The Saints scored 352 points on the season and made it to the Pacific Conference title game. There were a lot of barnburners in New Orleans' run to the title game and there was excitement along the way. With weapons like McAllister, Bush, Brees and Colston, this team was deadly... Congrats to Raider88dc's Saints on being named Season X's "Most Exciting Team."
| The Most Old School Award for Season X goes to... |

Old
School is defined as "a slang term referring to old ways of thinking or
acting, and to old objects in general, within the context of newer,
more modern times..." or "They just don't make 'em like this anymore."
How much more old school can you get when your name has OLD in it? Oldnslofly plays the kind of game
that invokes memories of those tough nosed teams from back in the day. Congrats goes to Mark for being named
Season X's "Most Old School."
| Most Creative Poster Award for Season X goes to... |

Superpunk's quips and barbs have drawn many chuckles throughout the forums. His quit wit adds amusement to his informational posts. Adding to his commentary are his hysterical signatures...but more on those later. Congrats Superpunk on being named Season X's "Most Creative Poster."
| Best Newcomer for Season X goes to... |

It was a tight race between Luck's Bears and Trusion's Cardinals for this award but the person that won the MPL Bowl comes away with the award for best newcomer. Luck did a great job of handling the talent of the MPL and came away with an MPL title in his first season in the league...congrats to Outofluck on being Season X's "Best Newcomer."
| The Biggest Disappointment Award for Season X goes to... |

Whether it was the lack of talent on the 49ers or the fact that he drew the toughest division in the MPL this season, Sully was never able to really get it going. He has been a perenial playoff contender and a winner of an MPL bowl. It's not often that a .500 team is labeled disappointing but when the bar is set so high from past acheivements, it's bound to happen. Season X was truly a disappointment for Sully.
| "The 1976 Bucs" Award for Season X goes to... |

The Packers were the only winless team in Season X. They certainly put up a fight each week but Favrefan wasnt able to pull out a win in the end. Great effort this season Dyland and we love the commitment in staying with it during a tough season. But the Packers get the most votes for Season X's "1976 Bucs Award."
| The Best Post Game Recaps Award for Season X goes to... |

Ethan is a repeat winner for this category. Even though some disliked the negativity in his recaps, it wasn't enough to prevent people from voting for him. Ethan always provides detailed recaps and there are a pleasure to read. For his dedicated and quality accounts of his game, Ethan wins Season X's award for "Best Post Game Recaps."
| The Most Talkative Award for Season X goes to... |

Houtz gets his second consecutive most talkative award. He always had a lot to say and Houtz was a big influence in getting more people to post and he had a way of flaring up some controversy along the way. The acvtivity shown by Houtz on the boards helped sustain Season X as a whole and it is greatly appreciated. Nice job on earning this award Houtz!
| The Best Sig Award for Season X goes to... |

The MPL community could always count on some interesting sigs coming from Superpunk. Whether it was the Houtz is my daddy sig, the Sean Taylor sig or the barbarian sig, SP always sports some memorable sigs. Congrats on having Season X's "Best Sigs."
| The Best Sig Maker Award for Season X goes to... |

| The Game of the Year for MPL X.... |

** Game Recap As Written By Trusion and Outofluck **
Well 3 turnovers turnover scores hurt the Cardinals early as they trailed CHI 17-7 in the 2nd quarter. 1 INT thrown by Leinart went back for a TD while one ended as a FG. The other turnover was on a punt return that was fumbled and returned for a TD. So the Cards certainly dug themselves in a hole early on. ARI would go all the way down to the CHI 1 yard line before being stopped twice by the CHI dlne. 17-10 CHI. Before the half, Leinart heaves one to Boldin and he makes the huge TD. 17 all. At the start of the 3rd quarter, Leinart apparently overthrows an open Bryant Johnson that leads to his 3rd INT of the game. Amazing......20-17 CHI.
ARI goes downfield and kicks a 3. 20-20. CHI goes downfield and kick a FG. 23-20 CHI. ARI does the same. 23-23. After not being able to stop the late screens to Hester, etc. we give up the GW FG. 26-23 Bears. Kinda hard to pull one out when you give up 17 points off turnovers. Gotta get better in that area - Luck played it safe and smart in this one though.
Outofluck
Both coaches had put many hours of practice into this game. Both knew how important this game was to them. The Chicago Bears had the edge in this one though as they pulled out the win 26-23 off of a game winning field goal from Robbie Gould. The Chicago Bears scored a total of 0 offensive touchdowns this game but were able to pull it off from a special teams touchdown, a defensive touchdown, and a bunch of field goals.
I barley beat this kid. It was just my lucky day. Your still the better player though. We both know that. Good game, you made it this far with the pathetic Cardinals. That shows real talent.
