This is a rematch from the season X MPL Bowl, so it has to be the game of the week. However, Luck seems to have a better team than when they faced off last (Skins > Bears), while ChosenOne has a slightly worse team in the Seahawks. This is an interesting game because ChosenOne will be looking for revenge for the loss in the bowl last year, and guaranteed he’d beat Luck. This could be the game to decide home field advantage for the Atlantic conference this season.

The Redskins (OutofLuck)

OFFENSE

Luck’s offense has been scoring on teams at will. There haven’t been any serious challenge that his offense couldn’t handle this season. Clinton Portis, Jason Campbell, and Santana Moss are the weapons on this offense, and it will be a very difficult task for Seattle to shut down in this game.

Key Offensive Players:

Santana Moss       Clinton Portis

DEFENSE

The defense is about equal to the offense in it’s skill level, both from the players and from Luck’s skill on this side of the ball. Laron Landry seems to be a rover & ball hawk around the field, and Marcus Washington & London Fletcher-Baker solidify the linebacking crew that will attempt to shut down the opposing running game, which seems to be Luck’s only weakness, which still isn’t very much of a weakness.

Key Defensive Players:

LaRon Landry      London Fletcher-Baker

The Seahawks(ChosenOne)

OFFENSE

This Seahawk offense has been pretty good this year. They have a great line, pretty good QB, good depth at wideout, and then you see the old, former MVP, Shaun Alexander. ChosenOne has still found a way to continue to do reasonably well with Alexander. This is by no stretch of the imagination a fast offense, but they can ground and pound their way down the field. But in this game, I believe they need to use the short passing game to have a chance in this one.

Key Offensive Players:

Shawun Alexander       Matt Hasselbeck

DEFENSE

Good squad led by 4 great players in Marcus Trufant, Julian Peterson, Lofa Tatupu, and Patrick Kerney. After last week, however, they need to rebound and play better than they have ever played before. They allowed 41 points week 5 to SP’s Bears. For this team to have a decent chance, they need to allow no more than half of that this week.

Key Defensive Players:

Lofa Tatupu       Marcus Trufant

Key Matchup:

VS
Marcus Trufant
versus Santana Moss

The fastest player on the Redskin offense, will most likely matchup with the most talented player on the Seahawk defense. Trufant has the skill set to shut Moss down, but might get beat over the top, so he will need some safety help to slow down Santana Moss.

Outcome: Even though this is a rematch from the championship last season, this one may not be close. Luck’s Skins just seem too powerful for the Seahawks. If you disagree with this ChosenOne, prove me wrong…

Redskins win 27-13
