Welcome to Houtz's HotSeat! This article is written by Houtz, a member of the Madden Players League. Each week, Houtz will be going around the league and interviewing members of the league. In Houtz's return to the HotSeat, he will be interviewing the Madden Players League Season VII Champ, Sully.

Houtz: Please everyone put your hands together for my next guest. He is arguably the best player in MPL history. Back in season seven he lead the Detriot Lions to his first MPL Championship. His Baltimore Ravens are currently undefeated and sitting alone on top of the Pacific North Division. Please everyone welcome, the one , the only SULLY!!!!

Sully:: Thanks for having me,good to talk to another faithful fan of a mediocre team.

Houtz: Mediocre is a understatement when you're a Fins fan.

Sully:: My 49ers aren't too far removed from that kind of season,I know what your feeling man.

Houtz: It's good to finally have you back on the hotseat. What everyone wants to know, what is it that makes you a contender year in and year out?

Sully:: I think it's my strong understanding of the X's and O's and a commitment to the run game,even when it's not working you have to stay balanced. Also,having a lot of patience helps, to run the ball and have a 13 play drive when your down 10.

Houtz: This year is different than years past. You are using the Ravens rather than your 49ers. What was it like adjusting to your new team?

Sully:: It's tough,I don't even really use them outside of league games,I still prefer to play with my 49ers as I plan on using them again next season. It's definitely nice havng the Ravens though. Half the time I don't even have to do anything on defense and they just make plays.

Houtz: It has always seemed like your running game was the most effective part of your offense. What is it that makes your running game so successful?

Sully:: It's all the manual blocking man,most underrated feature ever put in Madden. I can take a guard and turn block a defensive tackle to open a running lane where there wasn't going to be one. It backfires on me sometimes when I miss a block, but it's like stick skill that you work on over time.

Houtz: You just recently played your toughest opponent this season, IareEthan. After the game IareEthan made some questionable comments blaming the game for his loss. What are your thoughts on his post game remarks?

Sully:: I understand where hes coming from as this game is very different from any of the ps2 versions and is taking quite the toll on everyone who was used to expecting the same thing every year. It will take everyone awhile to get adjusted to having more realism in the game but I think it's a better thing in the long run.

Houtz: So you agree that without the "improved AI" IareEthan would've walked away with a victory?

Sully:: I only picked off one of his passes,he got 3 of mine,if anyone benefited from it,he did.

Houtz: You are currently undefeated and sitting pretty comfortable on top of the Pacific North Division. Looking at your schedule, what team do you think stands in your way of finishing the regular season undefeated?

Sully:: Hell man,I've only got a one game lead here. It's not like I can start throwing games Patriots style. I noticed you and I play in the final week of the season so that should be a hell of a dogfight.

Houtz: Do you see yourself finishing undefeated this season?

Sully::Probably not,there is quite the issue with the fumbles in this years version,All it takes is a couple of key turnovers in a close game to turn the tide.

Houtz: Who do you believe is the most overrated player in the MPL?

Sully:: I hate to say it cause he's my boy but Bigboss sitting at 4-1. He's always been solid, but never a killer player because hes got a wife and kids and all of those commitments. But maybe I'm wrong, and something different about this version has made him elite...I wouldn't be surprised.

Houtz: Who do you think is the most underrated in the MPL?

Sully: The newcomer that has the cardinals...MaddenSinceDay1 I think his name is. He played me damn tough earlier in the season and he took over a poor record midseason. He's sitting at 3-2 right now and if he makes it into the playoffs somehow he could do some damage.

Houtz: It's the end of the season, there are only two teams left. What two teams are left and who do you think wins it all?

Sully: I'm gonna say Wade and I meet in the championship game, which I will win not because I'm any better the him but because this defense that the Ravens have is just amazing and plays to my strengths so well.

Houtz: We're now going to play a little word association. I'm going to give you a word or phrase and you give me the first thing that comes to mind. Sound good?

Sully:: Let's make it happen.

Sully:: Needs to realize that next gen Madden is where it's at..

Sully:: Great commitment to making the league great.

Sully:: Poor Fins...

Sully:: Cool dude and the best competition i've had so far this year.

Houtz: Houtz?

Sully:: Has to play the Ravens... Poor soul.

Houtz: MPL?

Houtz: Is there anything else you'd like to say?

Sully:: I'd like to send a pat on the back to everyone for being so active on the forums lately and an apology to the league for not starting up the MPL radio feature yet,I plan on doing it when I figure out the technical issues and get the time.
