Welcome to Houtz's HotSeat! This article is written by Houtz, a member of the Madden Players League. Each week, Houtz will be going around the league and interviewing members of the league. In Houtz's HotSeat, he will be interviewing 2nd season player Readywhenever.

Houtz: Please everyone welcome my next guest. He went an astonishing 12-0 in his rookie season but came up short in the Conference Championship. He won the award for best team, best offense, best newcomer, most surprising, most exciting, best defense and Coach of the year. This season he started off to a slow start but looks to turn that season around. Please everyone welcome Readywhenever!

Ready:: What's up everyone! Thanks for having me Houtz, it’s great to finally be on the Hotseat!

Houtz: Ready, first thing I’d like to ask you is what it was like going 12-0 in your first season in the MPL?

Ready:: It started out as being me just wanting to follow the rules and play a straight game. But after my first 6 games I started to think Playoffs. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would finish with that type of record.

Houtz: You went untested up until the Conference Championship. What was it like losing to Wade and seeing him go on to win the Championship?

Ready:: Well playing the game I was up but midway in the second quarter I started to get away from my gameplan of running the ball and playing the short intermediate passes from Wade's Colts. But I give credit to Wade because he made some great adjustments. But on the final drive I still had a feeling that I was going to score but I guess it wasn't meant to be!

Houtz: A lot of people talk about the preparation you do before each game. Can you run us through the day leading up to a game and the various things you do?

Ready:: Well I haven't done my "gameplan" in my past 4 games but,First I look at the person I’m playing and try to pick up things that they like to do i.e. run the ball a lot, playaction, things like that. Most of the time I get that from previous games or from when they were recruits and played tryout games. Second, I try to think of what defense is the best to go against there favorite plays just like Bill Belicheck and take them away. Third, I like to go into practice mode and turn on the weapon settings and see where the mismatches are like a slow LB, no front line to stop the run, you things like and find plays on offense that works against that defense are. Last is just knowing the team you’re facing because your opponent can only control one person on defense, the computer controls the rest!

Houtz: You’ve won awards for both Best offense and Best defense last season. What seems to be the key to your success not only on one side of the ball but both?

Ready:: Well I'm finding out by using the Rams that Dallas’ defense is pretty *curses* good!! But like I said on defense I want to take away the main threat be it WR,RB or TE and force the opponent to go to his second and third option. Offense I want to have balance and make my opponent respect the run game and the passing game.

Houtz: You have been called overrated numerous times in the past. IareEthan and myself credited most of your success to having a great team in a weak division. Are you ready to admit that you were wrong?

Ready:: The only thing I'm ready to admit is that I wish I had more fun last season and didn’t take everything somebody said to me so seriously. If anyone wants to call me overrated or anything else it's cool because that's their opinion.

Houtz: You’ve been on a bit of a downward spiral as of late. First, you lost to me in a Tournament game. Then you lost to Nvrquit in the opening game of the season. Please explain to me what’s going on?

Ready:: Well to tell you the truth you’re a bad match up for me because our styles contrast so much and it throws me for a loop. I underestimated Nvrquit because I beat him last year. I'm still on track because I wanted to be 2-1 coming out of divisional play after the first 3 games!

Houtz: So you believe you’ll still be 2-1 after the first three games?

Ready: Well that’s the plan.

Houtz: If your Rams don’t turn the season around soon is it a strong possibility that you may step down as head coach?

Ready: h e double hockey sticks to the no. I have never ran from a fight in my life and I *curses* sure aint about to do it now. If I have to I will go down with my ship!!

Houtz: Now we are going to go to the newest part of the hotseat and have you answer questions around the league. Let’s start off with Wade’s question.

Wade: Are you starting to believe that indeed you are overrated and now it’s showing in the way u play? Could this all be just mental?

Ready:: I think it’s mental but only because I believe that with the skills that I posses in Madden I should win every game ! If I don't it's something that I did wrong. Are there better players than me at Madden? Yes, but that's the mentality that I have before I go into every game.

Superpunk: Who would YOU say MPL's most overrated player is?

Ready: I don’t believe in the term overrated.

Superpunk: How much of your MPL success would you say you owe to just being able to lob balls up for TO for an entire season?

Ready: I didn't just lob passes to T.O. you can ask anybody that I played. I believe I have more skills on offense to just be that boring.

Superpunk: Who would you love to beat in the MPL?

Ready:: I would love to play you (Superpunk) and Ethan because I haven’t played ya’ll yet.

Superpunk: What are the best and worst parts of being in the MPL?

Ready:: The best part of the MPL is the diversity that's here. I mean we got a 16 year all the way to a 53 year old. The worst thing is certain people who I never seen play a MPL game have an opinion about everything and try to argue people down. I'm talking about Lidoki or whatever his name is, he seriously is annoying!!

Trusion: Can you guarantee a victory this week against Sully? Please explain. Considering you lost a game you were SUPPOSED to win last week, what's going to take place against MPL heavyweight, Sully?

Ready:: At first I was going to do that but I'm going to save that for a later game. I'm going to come out with my back against the wall and my guns blazing. I have thrown out my old offense playbook and I’ve been practicing with a new one. So it will be a good game!

Houtz: What do you believe your record will be at the end of the season? And who do you see coming out as the Season X MPL Champion?

Ready:: I see my record as 8-4 and making the wildcard. And Yeah that's what I’m here for!!

Houtz: Is there anything else you’d like to say?

Ready:: Yeah I’d like to give a shout out to all the MPL ballers and to those who already have had my funeral and buried me 6 feet under..... (in the words of Jay-Z) I WILL NOT LOSE!!!
