Week 8
3/12/07

Welcome to a new edition of Fact or Fiction. Well there are only three undefeated teams left. The Titans, Jet and Eagles are left. Let’s see if these teams can hold on to these perfect records in week 8. Coach Jim and the Falcons are pretty hot going into week 8. Will you be able to pull off a win this week against the Jags? Plummerhater almost beat Moneyball in week 7. Once again….another “elite” coach not bringing his again against an underdog and almost got himself embarrassed. With a few shockers and disappointments this season, looks like a few playoff spots are up for grabs and may not be decided to the very end. Let’s keep things going this week. Remember…I only got 1 rule; be honest and don’t hold back. Sit down with ya girl and let me know what you feel is fact or fiction!

Please welcome to the set:

1.   The Browns will get their 3rd loss in a row against the Eagles in week 8.

Steph - Fact. The Eagles are on a roll and I just don’t see the Browns being talented enough to keep up

Shootingbull - Fact. Wade is a good baller but he's got a pretty tough team to work with. It's also hard to ever bet against Moneyball especially now that his squad has reloaded. I think Money's offense will be way too much for the Browns to handle.

2.  Coach Randy will lead the Panthers to the MPL Bowl.

Steph - Fact. The Atlantic Conference is up for grabs and appears to be a little weaker this season than the Pacific. It will not surprise me at all to see Carolina in the Bowl. They have a very balanced team with talent on offense and defense.

Shootingbull - Fiction. Randy is a great guy and is always a threat to win in any game he plays, but there are a few guys I rank ahead of him this season

3.   The Falcons will win 3 in a row with a win against the Jags in week 8.

Steph - Fiction. The Jags are under new ownership and something tells me this team will get a shot of energy and send the Falcons back into reality.

Shootingbull - Fiction. I don't know much about Ethan but based on his first few games back he seems to know what he's doing. Jim looks to be improving game by game with the Falcons but I really like this Jags team especially with a talented owner

4.   NFL Vixen, the head coach of the Ravens is a shocker this season with a 4-3 record going into week 8.

Steph - Fiction. I'm not surprised at all. I know she has been practicing a lot since last season and was determined to get better. Anyone who thinks about overlooking this team could be in for a rude awakening.

Shootingbull - Fact. I saw her sub-.500 record last season and didn't think she had any shot at the playoffs this season. But TRUST ME! I have experience she can play D and run the ball. I'm very surprised at her performance and think she has playoff chances

5.   The Steelers will give the Redskins their 2nd loss of the season.

Steph - Fiction. The Steelers may have been exposed a little bit against the Cards last week. I know the Redskins owner can play and I don't see Pitt winning this one.

Shootingbull - Fiction. Lil J is an elite player in this league. His D is tough and he can do whatever he wants with Portis. V 2 has a nice offense with the Steelers but his D has been lacking, so I the skins will drive up and down the field all game.

Random Question:

6.   Jeff Garcia will lead the Bucs to the playoffs next season.

Steph - Fiction. I think Jeff Garcia was in the perfect situation last year with the Eagles. He was familiar with the OC and they knew what each other wanted to do on the field. I think it could be a long year for him in Tampa Bay and won't be surprised to see him lose the starting job early on. Tampa doesn't have the supporting cast that the Eagles have and I'm just not convinced Jeff can lead them by himself all the way to the playoffs.

Shootingbull - Lol Fiction. Not a chance. He may not even be starting the whole year. He stepped in and did a great job for the Eagles but this Bucs team is different. They have a weak line, no one to throw to besides Galloway and an old defense. They'll have a high pick in the draft again next year.
