Week 7
3/04/07

Welcome to the week 7 edition of Fact or Fiction. There were a few exciting things that happening around the MPL. First, coach Poolguard finally got his 1st win of the season in week 6 against the Colts. But Poolguard was a bit of a prick after the game by refusing to speak to the press. I tell you what…you’re not gonna win any other games with that attitude. Coach Jim got his 2nd win of the season. He finally decided to let Vick do his thang, and he led the Falcons to a well deserved win. The Jags hired Ethan as their new head coach. Good luck with the rest of the season.

I guess the Titans went into the game against the Bucs a lil cocky nearly losing the game and almost got himself embarrassed. I hope this was a humbling experience for you. Now you know that you have to bring your ‘A’ game in every game in this league, no matter who you face. Coach Tate let you off the hook. Next time you think you’re gonna go out on the field and shake your azz, you’re gonna get your feelings hurt because the next time you take someone lightly, they are gonna beat you to sleep. Get over yourself and play to win. A true champ knows better.

Nofear, head coach of the Bills was seen leaving an emergency room last week. Apparently, he was having a really good time with a married woman at his birthday party. I heard from a reliable source that he had to take her to the ER because she performed a ‘trick’ to make her wedding ring disappear, putting it where it didn’t belong and after several desperate attempts, she could not get it out. Rumor is, he was partying with retired coach Longhorn and we all know what kind of trouble he stirs up. Well, nofear…I only got 1 thing to say to ya, “Silly boy…Tricks are for kid” LOL.

Let’s keep things poppin this week. Remember…I only got 1 rule; be honest and don’t hold back. Sit down with ya girl and let me know what you feel is fact or fiction!

Never Die V2 (Steelers)
Tonytouch (Giants)

1.   The Jets will finish the season undefeated.

Never Die V2 - Fiction. They simply don't have enough talent and strength on there team to beat the odds and run the table. There a solid team but there not solid enough to go the distance and beat everyone. They'll make the playoffs but they won't finish the regular season undefeated.

Tonytouch - I say fiction. It's so tough to go undefeated, even in a Madden game. There are still some tough teams on his schedule. He could very easily lose to Blu Pun in week 7. It will take 6 more weeks of perfect play, big breaks, AND mistakes by his opponents. And the Jets honestly aren't that good in my opinion...

2.  The Cardinals will not win more than 4 games this season.

Never Die V2 - Fact. The team is too young and doesn't have enough of a background nor the experience needed to make things happen there way. They have some key positions that need to be filled and it didn't happen this year. There coach is alright but his team just enough tough enough to hold up for the long hall in games and they will struggle to move the ball well.

TonyTouch - Fact. He may not win another game... Poolguard seems to be struggling with the Rams, but I'd still bet against him... Other than that, I think he's got L's to look forward to.

3.   The Titans showed that they may not be a championship team by nearly losing to the Bucs in week 6.

Never Die V2 - Fact. The titans won't be a championship team. There young and talented sure but it will be there coach that kills them in the long hall. It's not about trash talking and making your opposition look bad. It's about playing solid on the field and making sure you get the win. They look good now but they will crack somewhere along the lines and it will trigger a downward spiral.

Tonytouch - Fiction: anybody can be beat on any given day. if you get out of your game plan, before you know it, you're about to lose. It happens to the best of us. Not that I'm in the "best" category or anything... LOL

4.   As the new head coach of the Jags, Ethan will lead his team to finish out the season with a few wins.

Never Die V2 - Fact. He's a skilled coach and he has a solid team around him. If he can show them solid plays in practice he should be able to finish the season right at .500 or just a loss below.

Tonytouch - A tough question, but I say Fiction. He's got some tough games - Sully, Jimbo, Vikings owner seems to be playing well, Ravens D is nasty... He's got a tough road to travel...

5.   Chief’s head coach, Shootingbull will finish 2nd in his division ahead of coach Sully.

Never Die V2 - WOW... I'd say Fact. Sully didn't get his prized niners but he is making the Lions look decent. Bull has a solid team in the Chiefs and he does after all have Larry Johnson who's a beast on the field.

Tonytouch - Fiction. I'm shocked that Sully is only .500 now. The Lions are a pretty good team and if Sully can do well with the 9ers, he must be stoned while he's played the first 6 games... Sully will go on a run and finish 8-4...

Random Question:

6.   Batman is a better comic book character than superman.

Never Die V2 - Fact... Superman is gay. He has to wear a stupid blue and red costume with a big S on it and get dressed in a phone book. He flies around like he's some big shot while Batman is just cool. He gets in his car when he sees he's needed. He doesn't go looking for crap like superman does. Although I will say that the Green Lantern beats the holy hell out of all of them.

Tonytouch - Fact…Superman's a punk; Spiderman kicks all their butts...
