Week 5
2/17/07
Welcome to another segment of Fact or Fiction. It’s ya girl, NFL Vixen coming back at ya for our week 5 discussions. My debut segment was HOTTT! A lot of people enjoyed it and some got a lil fired up from it.
One memorable moment from last week was Coach Pun of the Chargers lashing out at the week 4 guests for unanimously forecasting his loss to the Eagles. I gotta be me right now and say this…“Get your head back in the game coach and grow tougher skin. You let the media talk you out of your game. You disappointed a lot of your fans with last week’s fiasco, you’re better than that! You’ll never make it to the ‘big one’ behaving that way. You lead by example. Your team gave up because you gave up before you even stepped onto the field! You need to get a ‘W’ this week to make up for that one!” Wooooo…Somebody needs to fan me right now cus I’m fired up just talking about it! OK…I’m calm now. I just had to take him to ‘chuch’ real quick! LMAO!
Let’s keep it hot with more MPL chat. This is the only place where you can be yourself and tell it like it is. Remember, I only got 1 rule, be honest and don’t hold back. Sit down with ya girl and let me know what you feel is fact or fiction!
Please welcome to the set:

1. Coach Poolguard will get his 1st win as the Rams head coach in week 5 against the Saints.
NoFear - Fact. Poolguard has waited too long for his first win and against a leaky Saints pass defense the Rams should easily win.
Wade - Fact. Poolguard has talent and many people don’t know that he will make you work on the defensive side and will come in and finally get his first win.
2. Coach Big Boss’s loyalty to the Packers organization is holding him back from possibly coaching a better team and potentially winning a championship.
NoFear - Fiction. Big Boss is a solid baller and a great guy. His Packers aren't holding him back. He's just using them the wrong way. I don’t technically know the way he plays nowadays but he nearly beat me two seasons ago when I was a recruit with that same Packers team. He just needs to go back to basics and pound the ball with Green.
Wade - Fiction. I have played with the Packers and they are very solid. Some can actually say they can go out and win a MPL Bowl with a QB like Favre. Big boss in my mind is a busy person and does not have time to expand his madden skills.
3. The Falcons are the biggest disappointment in the league going into week 5 with a 1-3 record.
NoFear - Fact. Jim played great against me in Week 1 and stomped me 38-17 and then it was all downhill. He just hasn't played the same from the looks of the recaps. But, I bet he will be back on his game soon and somehow sneak into the playoffs.
Wade - Fiction. His division is really tough. Jim is a very good player and has caught some really bad breaks with the Falcons. But I could see that team in playoffs if they get there head in the game.
4. The Redskins, at 4-0 are the best team in the league.
NoFear - Fiction. I believe Moneyball and the Eagles are at the top of the league. The Titans are a close 2nd and then maybe the Redskins. But they are stacked. It should be easy to win with them. Plus, Lil J is vulnerable and will lose. There will be no undefeated season for the Skins. Well, next week he should win against the 9ers. 5-0 that might go to his head and then he comes into two weeks of HELL playing Wade and the Browns and then the Titans. He’s got a lot ahead of him. I’m hesitant to say more based on my lack of knowledge about his skills. I hope he proves me wrong. But right now, he’s far from the best team in the league.
Wade - Fiction. Lil J is going to cause a lot of trouble in the playoffs and other teams that play him. But I have to go with the Eagles and Titans as best teams so far. The way those Eagles play without McNabb is crazy and Vince Young runs on everybody.
5. Jets head coach, Tim, better known as mackdaddy, is the rookie to fear going into week 5 undefeated.
NoFear - Fact. He has played solid ball and surprised most people in the league. The Jets are a hard team to win with but he makes it seem easy. He is definitely the guy most people are fearful to play, #1. He’s a new guy and not many people know what he can do and #2. He’s undefeated. Watch out for Mackdaddy!
Wade - : Fact. I myself have not seen him play personally. But from what he did to a very good Panthers team is just amazing. And he may very well win BEST NEW COMER.
Random Question:
6. The Friday the 13th movie series are better than the Nightmare on Elm Street movie series.
NoFear - Fiction. Halloween is way better than both of them. But, if I had to choose between those 2, I’d say the Friday the 13th movies are better. Jason is the man. He had a chainsaw in Freddy versus Jason. It doesn’t get much better than that or scarier. Oh and he has a giant meat cleaver LOL.
Wade - HELL TO THE NO (Fiction). I think in the Friday the 13 movies series, people are so easy to kill. You hear someone say imma take a shower, then BOOM you know they are dead or even the first to have sex dies too…very predictable. Freddy would kill you in your dreams. You would not know when something was a dream or real. I found that the Friday the 13th movies were actually funny.
