Welcome members of MPL to Fact or Fiction.
This is your host for probably the only Fact or Fiction for this season cowboy925. You may ask why this is the only one, well, no one signed up for it and I’ve been bored this summer so I decided I needed to kill the time. Let’s get this going… First we have the ultimate MPL veteran Sully, then the person who lost in the conference finals and did this segment last season Raider88dc, the other conference finals loser “Plz”Dontcheeze, and finally the MPL Season X champion OutofLuck.
Please welcome to this weeks segment:
1. There will be 2 or more undefeated teams at the end of the season.
Sully - Fiction. This league is too competitive and this year’s madden so hard to play perfect all the time.
Raider - Fact. There will be two undefeated teams at the end if the season, and they are both coming from the Atlantic conf.
Dontcheeze - Fiction. No I don’t think that there will be 2 undefeated teams.............reason is that too many good players this season have teams with personnel issues.
Luck - Fact- there are some teams that are on fire and it doesn’t look like anyone will slow them down. Plus it’s a shorter schedule so I think there are more than 2 teams undefeated.
2. On the opposite of the first question, there will be 2 or more winless teams at this season’s end.
Sully - Fiction. The worst players are bound to at least play each other at some point.
Raider - Fiction. There will be only one team at the end of the season that will do winless, I can see both the ravens and the browns squeezing out a win in the next coming weeks
Dontcheeze - Fiction. I believe all 3 winless coaches have the capability to run the tables any time but they might find themselves with teams that dont fit their style. But i dont belive nvrquit will get a chance to win one.
Luck - Fact- like my last answer, the season is shorter and there are only so many weeks to get wins in this season. I think there will be 2 or more winless teams once the seasons over.
3. The MPL bowl champion will come out of the Pacific Conference for the 2nd straight year.
Sully - Fact. Whether it's the cowboys, Jim with his rams, a Patriots team that keeps finding ways to beat top teams, or my Bucs, The Pacific is going to represent this year. Not to mention the undefeated Giants led by a rookie.
Raider - Fact. I think that the champ will come outta the pacific. The Atlantic will have good playoff matches and good teams/owners making it, but the Pacific will have top notch owners/team from #1 seed to the #6 seed. So whom ever makes it out will represent the Pacific well. OOO by the way, the Pacific west coast>>>>> east coast
Dontcheeze - Fact. Ready, Cowboy, Jim, and myself I see going very strongly to win it.
Luck - Fact- you have a lot of great teams like the Cowboys, Bucs, Giants and 3 of the 2nd place teams have 4-1 records. Unlike the Atlantic who only has one 2nd place team with a 4-1 record. there is more talent on that side and i think the winner will come from that side too.
4. The best MPL Bowl would be between Ready’s Cowboys and Luck’s Redskins.
Sully - Fiction. Luck's Redskins versus my Bucs. The battle between a vet and a talented relatively newcomer would make for a hell of a match up
Raider - Fact. I would pay to see that match up. Luck and his game sharking Redskins against Ready’s potent Cowboys offense would be a good bowl.
Dontcheeze - Both. That’s a great match up....I can’t answer that as a fact or fiction.........more of a fantasy bowl.
Luck - Fiction- I don’t know which other match up I would want to see but I’d rather see a MPL Bowl with two sorry teams like the Texans or Vikings against the raiders or Bucs. That would be a lot more exciting.
5. Adrian Peterson will be MVP of Season XI.
Sully - Fiction. Anyone playing the Vikings knows Peterson is the only offensive threat, and good players will be able to contain him.
Raider - Fiction. APAD is having a great season so far, and he'll be the Vikings MVP if not the Atlantic's Offensive player of the year. But I think the MVP will come from the Pacific.
Dontcheeze - Fiction. It’s too early in the season.........its by TDs that a MVP should have to be delcared and not leading in yards. He’s #1 in yards only cuz he hasn’t faced the pats D!!
Luck - Fact- Adrian Peterson is the same exact thing as LT except for the awareness. AP has an amazing offensive line leading the way and a great coach in Trusion. He'll take advantage of that and hopefully get MVP with him.
Random/Non MPL Questions
6. Madden is the best sports video game franchise.
Sully - Fiction. That honor belongs to Fight Night and SSX if that counts as sports for you
Raider - Fact. Madden is probably the only sports franchise that gets the large recognition. We have from little online leagues like the MPL to large televised madden games shows. Not only this though, but Madden is a fun game to play offline and online. By yourself or with friends. Madden though it does has its flaws at times is the best sports franchise over any other hands down, and the plus greatly out weights the neg.
Dontcheeze - Fact. Franchise yes......Best sports gm in 08 HELL NO!!!
Luck - Fact- NBA, NHL and MLB don’t even compete with madden. Every year people bitch the game isn't good enough but every year it out performs the other 3 major sports games. Football is more popular than those other 3 sports so i think it will always be the better game.
7. The Patriots or Cowboys will win Super Bowl XLIII.
Sully - Fiction. We know the Cowboys can't win a playoff game, and the pats can't be world beaters every season
Raider - Fiction. Haha neither will make it to their conference championship games. I’m smelling a realllly big sleeper team winning the SB this up coming season.
Dontcheeze - Fiction. Alright so definently neither........Cowboys won’t..........Romo doesnt have the composure....& the Pats dont have the D any more.
Luck - Fact- unfortunately I think one of these two teams will win next year. but if i had to chose one I’d say new England
8. Barack Obama will be the 44th president of the United States.
Sully - Fact. People like it when the government gives them stuff, and Obama is promising plenty of that, not to mention McCain can't even count on the conservative base voting for him.
Raider - Fact. Barack Hussein Obama will be the 1st African American president. He has the charisma of JFK, the stardom of Reagan, (Oprah is backing him), and he’s a democrat, though he wasn’t my 1st or 2nd choice, I know I’ll be voting for him come November. Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we've been waiting for. We are the change that we seek!
Dontcheeze - Fact. As long as he doesnt get assasinated then yes!!!
Luck - Fact- I think Obama will blow McCain out of the water. I don’t think this country is that stupid that they would vote for another republican.
