Welcome members of MPL to week eight of Fact or Fiction.
Well what a week last week was. With Jim continuing his undefeated season, but receiving a scare against a tough Seahawk team. SP Cowboys playing with out Romo, had a good game with Brad Johnson and defeated the up-n-down Titans. With the season winding down teams are trying to get those coveted playoffs spots. With the Saints, Ravens, Chargers, Cowboys, and Rams getting wins and keeping their playoff dreams in reach.
This is a segment where you can be yourself and tell it like it is. Remember don’t hold back; and that this segment is just some good clean fun. So get ready for FACT OR FICTION!!!
Please welcome to this weeks segment:
1. The Eagles vs. Cardinals match up is this best match up in the MPL.
FavreFan - Fact- I think it really pits the best verse the best against each other it should be a very interesting match-up.
JMcGrath - Fact - Ethan's history speaks for itself. He has been in the MPL for a long time and has a history of success. Trusion has been a much hyped rookie since the (I forget the name) tourney with the Browns and has gone unbeaten to this point in his MPL rookie season.
Hawkins - : Fiction, I truly believe that the best matchup in the MPL would be the Cardinals vs. Texans. Two strong undefeated teams.
2. The Colts will go 0-16 this season.
FavreFan - Fact-they have a very tough season ahead of them and I think it will be very tough for them to get a win unless they start playing better football. Its will be very tough for them to get a win.
JMcGrath - Fiction - The Colts have too much talent on that team and being led by veteran coach OldnSoFly I do not for see them going winless this season. They are bound to win at least ONE game in Indy.
Hawkins - Fiction, I believe the colts should be able to pull out a win from the Bengals and possibly the Browns as well.
3. The most improved team this season is OG-Sucka and his rolling Giants.
FavreFan - : Fiction-I do think he has improved very much but I also think some other guys have improved even more then him.
JMcGrath - Fact - OG seemed to have bitten off more than he could chew at the beginning of the season after so much bark and no bite. More recently however he has Eli & Co on the right track, making the Giants look like the Super Bowl champs and making their MPL season of start slow finish strong look much like their NFL season.
Hawkins - Fact, I see they started off bad but OG has picked up the pace and I believe we will see him in the Playoffs. I foresee that OG has turned his game around since the first three games so much that he will pull off a division title in the Pacific East.
4. The Titans are the best sub .500 team.
FavreFan - Fact, they have been playing very good football and they will probably keep it up
JMcGrath - Fiction - Even though Houtz beat me in our head to head matchup and he's been successful in MPL seasons past I'd have to say from reading the MPL archives that Sully is by far the biggest talent who had huge expectations and just hasn't had things go his way this year with his beloved 9ers.
Hawkins - Fiction, Chnkr and his Vikings are the toughest team sub .500 to play against.
Random/Non MPL Questions
5. Gatorade is better then Powerade.
FavreFan - Fact, Powerade is terrible I wouldn’t drink Powerade if you stranded me on an island with nothing to drink except Powerade. Gatorade will always be the number one sports drink.
JMcGrath - Fact - Where I work there is a convenience store next to my office and I frequently drink both Gatorade and Powerade depending on what they have on sale. Powerade, even though LeBron James face is plastered all over it, seems to be a bit grainy and not as pure as Gatorade which is more smooth and flavorful.
Hawkins - Fact, Powerade just tastes disgusting. Gatorade has much better flavors and it’s the Original Brand
6. Wal-Mart is better then Target.
FavreFan - Fact, there are a lot more things to buy at Wal-Mart than at Target.
JMcGrath - Fiction - All super centers are the same. I don't tend to favor one over the other.
Hawkins - Fiction, although Wal-Mart has cheap prices I hate how they are everywhere!!! They are the #1 reason jobs have gone overseas, but I do like their prices :)
