Welcome members of MPL to week six of Fact or Fiction.

Well after a two-week hiatus, FACR OR FITCION is BACK!!!!!!! Season 10 so far has been a complete blast, with every segment, every owner, and every game making this truly an AWESOME league. Also I’d live to welcome back PREZ, the founder of this GREAT league, for he recently bought himself a PS3 and Madden ’08. With week 6 marking the midway point for our season, the playoff picture starts to get a little clearer, with people separating themselves from the pack and showing that they have what it takes to go all the way to the MPL Bowl. There are only 2 undefeated teams left; Trusion and Jim being the ones, now with Sportz and JMcGrath both going down.

So lets back into the grove of things. This is a segment where you can be yourself and tell it like it is. Remember don’t hold back; and that this segment is just some good clean fun. So get ready for FACT OR FICTION!!!

Please welcome to this weeks segment:

Cowboys - Superpunk

1.   The Cardinals are the best team at the halfway mark of the season.

Houtz -  FACT-I don't think anyone in the MPL can hang with Trusion right now. He was skeptical at the beginning of the season about taking the Cardinals but he seems to be unstoppable with them. Matt Leinart FTW!!!

OutofLuck1114 -  FACT- It doesn't matter that Trusion is a rookie. He's clearly the best coach in this league and the fact that he's doing it with the cardinals is even more amazing. They are by far the best team at the halfway mark.

Obmij76 -  Fact -- To me, this one goes without question. They have had a very tough schedule and though some games have been close, the Cards have come out as the victor. They seem to be the team to beat going forward.

Superpunk -  I would have to say that's a fact. Trusion is a great coach and the Cards have a lot of talent. I don’t know what some of these 46 teams are doing with their front four, but it's nearly unblockable and it shows. That said, there are a lot of good teams in this league. I think the talent level is very high, and there are some very good owners whose record does not reflect that fact.

2.  The Panthers will go 0-16 this season.

Houtz -  FACT- The only way he stands a chance of getting a win is if one of his opponents goes into a coma and he gets the sim win. I pray to god that doesn't happen but for Ryan's sake that's his only chance.

OutofLuck1114 -  : FICTION- I know Ryan has had some bad luck this season but I think it’s harder to lose every game then it is to win every game. Upsets do happen sometimes in this league and I predict he will get a win (or two) in his season.

Obmij76 -  I haven't checked out the remainder of their schedule but the appearance as of now is that, yes, they will go 0-16.

Superpunk -  He's already gone 0-3 in division, and his three out of division games left are against Pittsburgh, Chicago, and St. Louis. There's no way he wins any of those. His best chance is the last week of the season against Tate, but this is a fact.

3.   The Titans win over the Bucs was the biggest upset so far of the season.

Houtz -  FICTION- Wade’s lost to the Patriots and Ethan’s lost to Hawkins so no I don't believe my win over McGrath was the biggest upset. If you want an upset wait till I knock of Jim's undefeated Texans at the end of the season.

OutofLuck1114 -  : FICTION- Ahhh come on now. Upset? I think it's him finally realizing how to use his team. By far, I'd have to say it was the Lions/Eagles game

Obmij76 -  Fiction. Though the game was decided by turnovers, I think that the Lions beating the Eagles is still the biggest upset of the season. When Houtz has his game plan working, he's a very good coach.

Superpunk -  It's close, but houtz is a good player and the Titans are a good team. I'd say the biggest upset has to go to Hawkins over the Eagles or Flawle55 over the Dolphins.

4.   The Texans are the best AFC team in the league.

Houtz -  FACT- Not taking anything away from Wade but Jim's Texans are unbeatable right now. You can't win games by scoring less than 10 points and that's exactly what Jim does. He takes away your strength and forces you to beat him other ways. Someone better check that man for steroids.

OutofLuck1114 -  FACT- Defense wins championships and that’s how he's been winning his games. The only other team that I would say is on Jim's level is Wade's dolphins, but I think it's pretty safe to say that the Texans are the best team in the AFC.

Obmij76 -  : Fiction. The Steelers, Dolphins and the Broncos are all competing for the right to be called the AFC's best team. The Texans have recently shown in their close wins that they aren't in the elite level yet.

Superpunk -  Fact.... but maybe not. I think it might end up being Wade, but Jim hasn't lost. So you can't go against that.

5.   The NFC is the better conference in our league.

Houtz -  FACT- The NFC West alone has three of the best players in the league. Then you have the NFC East with Ethan who is my pick to win it all this season and Superpunk. There's probably a few others I forgot but the list can go on and on.

OutofLuck1114 -  : FACT- This is a tough one and I might be a little biased because I am in the NFC but the reason I went with them is because the top 3 guys in the power rankings are NFC teams and I think that they just have a little bit more firepower then the afc teams. Plus the NFC has the only undefeated team left.

Obmij76 -  Fiction. I think the Atlantic and the Pacific conferences both have very good coaches, which brings quality play to each section of the league.

Superpunk -  By far...fact. I think there are quite a few teams that will miss the playoffs in the NFC who would probably be division winners in the AFC. I think there are quite a few teams with nice records that have benefited from easy schedules.

Random/Non MPL Questions

6.   Now that the football season is over, baseball season is the next best thing to watch. .

Houtz -  FICTION- With shows like Desperate Housewives and America's next top Model still on the air, who would want to watch baseball? But really, I think basketball is the hot thing to watch right now. Now is when it gets interesting and you see teams make a push for the playoffs. I will be watching baseball though this year for the first time since Griffey played on the Mariners. GO PHILLIES!!!

OutofLuck1114 -  FICTION- A lot of people are going to disagree with me but I think it's basketball. It’s a lot faster paced and overall it’s just more exciting.

Obmij76 -  >Fact. I enjoy basketball but only when the Celtics are playing well and March Madness is fun to watch. In a recent popularity poll, basketball ranks behind NFL, college football, baseball and racing in terms of popularity. I really enjoy watching baseball. The Yanks will be on my TV whenever they're playing this coming season :-)

Superpunk -  Aside from March Madness, I'm pretty indifferent about sports once football is over. But I'd rather watch hockey or basketball than baseball, so fiction.
