Madden Players League - Raider88dc's Fact or Fiction

Welcome members of MPL to week one fact of Fact or Fiction.

Season 10 is rolling along nicely. Week 2 is almost in the books with only a game left to finish and there was some noise made once again in the MPL. Wade, last years champ lost his 1st game, against the mighty Pats. Like said in the boards the Pats probably had too many weapons that the Dolphins couldn’t contain. Also big match ups with division supremacy on the line, occurred with the Texans, Pats, Broncos, Bears, Bucs, Cardinals pulling away from their division opponents with wins again against division opponents. And in the NFC East the Cowboys and Eagles in a dead heat for 1st, with their 1st match up against each other next week.

With week 2 almost done lets begin. This is a segment where you can be yourself and tell it like it is. Remember don’t hold back and that this is just some good clean fun. So get ready for FACT OR FICTION!!!

1. The new patch that was released in early Jan. is a positive step in making madden more realistic.

Chnkr -  FACT, the main difference I have noticed is that there are less fumbles, and no more linebackers making amazing leaps to pick off passes and less injuries.

KevMack -  Fact, because the games seem to be closer. And the D really steps up.

MMTami26 -  Fact, But not for the reason's you may think. Personally, I don't see much of a difference since they gave us the upgrade I think some people think if there was a patch, then IT MUST be better. Therefore their confidence is boosted so instead of the actual patch being what improved people's game, it was the fact that they THOUGHT the patch improved its all psychological.

2. The Bears and Saints can sustain their league leading 35 ppg averages.

Chnkr -  FICTION Luck is a very good player, but you gotta look at whom he has played. He played me the first week, and we all know how bad I am. Plus, I know he got some good breaks in his game with Favrefan... not gonna keep happening! As for the Saints, that might be possible... watch out the next time he plays me, because now that I'm getting the hang of this team, NO MORE 9 INT GAMES BY TAVARIS or however many he threw... As for the Saints, MAN, Bush is fast, and you know how to use him... that might be FACT.

KevMack -  Fiction, I think they got lucky in their first 2 games. The next few games they should drop down to a 24-point avg.

MMTami26 -  FICTION, This year's version of Madden is a DEFENSE FIRST game. The defenders controlled by the Computer, are SO MUCH better then they have been in year's past Plus, there are ALOT of good player's here in the MPL. No "Free Rides". 35 ppg? I don't see it happening.

3. Ethan and his Eagles will beat Superpunk and his Cowboys for 1st place in a tough NFC East

Chnkr -  - Even though I hate to EVER go against my Boys, even in the Madden world, I'm gonna say FACT. I hear that Ethan is pretty good, and I think Superpunk might be having trouble handling the Boys. Kinda like driving a 600hp Vette for the first time. Superpunk, you need see that you just aren't ready for that kind of power... Let me trade you my Vikes, they are more like the Jetta power you crave...

KevMack -  fact, I lost to both of them, and I think that Ethan is just slightly better. He should take the lead.

MMTami26 -  FACT, Now this is a tough decision for me on 2 levels. First, I've never played Superpunk, so I don't know his game. Second, I'm a Diehard Dallas fan, and NEVER pick against them, lol. However (and this is what my decision is based on), I have played Ethan, and know of him, and he is GOOD, REALLY GOOD. With HOUTZ as your practice partner, you better be good...lol.

4. The Bucs have the best overall offense so far this year after being ranked in top 5 in offense and leading the league in total yardage.

Chnkr -  FACT, JMcGrath is someone that I have played with quite a few times, and he is GOOD. Everyone gives props to Trusion, as do I, but JMcGrath seems underrated to me. He truly has an understanding of his playbook, and Madden in general. I think he is one of a select few that could find a way to not just win, but dominate with any team he has. He can kill you with the deep ball to Joey or pound it with Ernesto, but he what he really likes to do is put it in the FB's hands. I forget his name, because he is a FB, but JMcGrath seems to really like him... I think it's because he is a Buckeye. JMc really LOVES Ohio State!

KevMack -  Fiction, since we are only 2 games in, its a toss up. Bucs are playing good, but whom did they beat? That is the real question.

MMTami26 -  FACT, Is this a Trick question? Lol, like Bill Parcells once said, "You are, what you are."

Random/Non MPL Questions

5. Ford is better then Chevy.

Chnkr -  Ummm... they both suck. Sorry. WAIT! I take that back... FACT! My 1986 Ford Tempo GLS was the badist vehicle on the block! (Even though it spent alot of time ON blocks.)

KevMack -  fiction, hmmm I have a 55 Chevy Bel Air, but some of the Ford mustangs are tight... A Buddy of mine has a Mach II with Chevy parts. It’s a Hybrid.

MMTami26 -  wow, that’s a tuff one...lol. Both American cars. FACT. Ford is better because they have better commercials, and they have the Mustang
